The work, and the why.

Every project starts with a business that's better than its website, or one that doesn't have a website yet. Here's what I designed, what I wrote, and the thinking behind it.

Sitting by Kimber

Professional pet care · Greenville, SC

Thirteen years of premium pet care and a loyal Greenville following, built on referrals, but no website or logo. I turned Kimberly's own drawing into her brand and built a warm, personal site that makes texting her the easiest thing on the page.

A note on "Concept redesign": these are fictional businesses based on the real problems I see on Upstate websites every day. They show exactly how I'd approach your site. More client projects will join them as they launch.

Concept redesign✦ Day/Night mode

Coffee shop & taproom

Porchlight Coffee & Taps

Coffee and pastries by day, local beer on tap by night — and a website that only told half the story. Rebuilt with a day/night switch so the site changes with the shop.

Concept redesign

Law firm

Poole & Schmidt, P.A.

A respected two-partner firm still greeting clients with a Flash intro and a wall of disclaimers. Redesigned to feel calm, credible, and human — for people on one of the worst days of their lives.

Concept redesign

Home services · HVAC

Foothills Comfort Heating & Air

A 30-year-old HVAC company with a great reputation and a website stuck in 2009. Rebuilt to turn late-night "my AC is broken" searches into booked repairs.

Concept redesign

Holistic health center

Kindred Roots Holistic Health

A thoughtful team of practitioners behind a purple, sparkly, print-and-fax website. Rebuilt to feel calm and credible, with online booking front and center.
